Let us be careful of all our deeds
The king fell ill one day and the doctors were unable to cure him, and the king had to announce his successor before he died.
The king said, “I will choose someone who will sleep in the grave prepared for me one night before my death.”
The news spread throughout the country, but no one was ready to sleep in the grave.
A poor man was ready to sleep in this grave, the poor man slept in the grave and they made a hole for him to breathe and air so that he would not die.
The poor man fell asleep and dreamed that the divine angels had come to his grave and asked questions, and the poor man answered until they asked: What in the world did you have?
Poor man said he had only one donkey.
They asked the poor man why on some days he put so much weight on his donkey that donkey could not carry it and why he did not feed the donkey on a certain day and …
The poor man was struck by a few fiery lashes because of the cruelty he had inflicted on his donkey, which was very painful and he woke up terrified.
In the morning, people and government officials came to see him as the new king.
As soon as they opened the grave, the poor man ran away and the people followed him and said, “O our king, do not run away,” but the poor man said, he was so tormented because of the only donkey he had, if he became the king of all people, his torment would be very great, and therefore he would not accept the kingdom at all.
Yes, the reckoning of the Day of Judgment is very precise and difficult, and every bit of our deeds will be questioned, and all our small and big deeds will be counted.
Everyone who has more property and more important responsibilities will have more difficult questions.
Therefore, let us be careful of all our deeds, because the judge on the Day of Judgment and in the court of divine justice is Allah, who is aware of all deeds.
Allah says:
(21:47) We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection so that none will be wronged in the least. (We shall bring forth the acts of everyone), even if it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed. We shall suffice as Reckoners
